I am a mother of a 7 year old son and unfortunately I had to have a hysterectomy last year and would love to have at least one more child. I have looked into adoption agencies and can’t afford to go that way. Now I am just hoping to find someone who is interested in giving a child up for adoption so it can have a good stable home with lots of love. If anyone knows someone or has ideas it would be very appreciated.

My husband and I would like to adopt a child. Our child is almost 6 years old. Ethnicity or sex doesn’t matter to us. We were questioning if we should adopt a child older or younger then our bio child. I was wondering if someone could give me some advice, or opinions about this. Please be tactful. Thanks

We’ve all seen commercials on TV of the old guy talking about thousands of poor, starving children in some distant, crummy land. Has anyone out there actually "adopted" a child like that, and could someone give me a reference so that I could look into it myself?

I am open to an older child (up to 8 or 9) of any race with or without a disability. I am a Child Care Provider in my home. I tried to work with the State of Oregon to adopt a foster child but the case worker said because foster children are considered "high risk" I wouldn’t be able to continue my business and adopt. I just want another child! Does anyone have any advise?

my sister is only 22 and is pregnant with her 4th child, she wants my husband and I to adopt the baby, do we have to go through an agentcy? or can she just sign over her rights as a mother?

My sister and her husband is trying to adopt and are looking for agencies that do not take centuries to place babies. I feel bad for them because they paid an agency thousands upon thousands of dollars to adopt and they are still waiting after almost one year. They have had a crib, room, clothes and every thing set up for months and months now waiting. The agency doesn’t like its clients to call more than once a month yet every day I see the agency taking on more clients even though it has a ton of clients that it still hasn’t placed baby’s with yet. I know waiting for a biracial/hispanic baby girl would take time but if you know of an agency that has typically, a short wait time, please let me know so that I can pass the info on to them.
