Is it a good idea to have one biological child and then adopt another?

My husband and I have talked about having one biological child and then adopting maybe a couple of girls (preferrably sisters). We thought we could help a couple of kids get a little better life that are down on their luck. Good idea or bad?

I find it a good idea, it will satisfy our need to have our own biological child and our need to help other children who are less fortunate than ours
I have one biological child and hope to maybe have another one day but I do really want to adopt a few also. I think adoption is a great thing as long as u can give equal love and realize the adopted child is urs too…….
