We are Brad and Jacey and we are so grateful to have this opportunity to share a few pieces of our life with you.  We know that we cannot come close to sharing our entire lives with you in one letter, but we hope you will get a small glimpse of who we are.  First and foremost, we want to commend you for your courage, strength, and selflessness.  You have chosen the gift of life for your child and we are so proud and thankful.  We can’t imagine the overwhelming difficulty this process has been for you, but we believe that God can comfort you and fill you with His peace.  That is our prayer for you.

OUR STORY:
Our home is a house full of unconditional love, laughter, joy and complete acceptance, all based on the foundation of God our Savior.  We have been married for 16 incredible years.  We met at a church youth retreat in junior high school, although we didn’t marry until after college.  Brad is 38 years old and is a college graduate with a bachelor’s degree in Communications.   He loves his career as a pharmaceutical sales representative and has been with his company for 11 years.  He enjoys exercising, sports, and playing cards with his buddies.  Jacey is 37 years old, and although she graduated from college with a certificate in secretarial science, she is a stay-at-home-mom to our two beautiful girls, Alexa (age 12) and Alivia (age 8).  She loves to cook and entertain.  She is also co-owner of a maid service business with a high-school friend, but only works 4-6 hours a week.  Her heart is definitely at home.  She loves being available for class parties, field trips and volunteer work.

We are extremely involved in our church, an Assembly of God affiliation.  Brad is an adult bible schoolteacher, and is active in the men’s ministry.  Jacey serves in the Early Childhood Department under two ministries.  She is the lead teacher on Wednesday nights in the infant/walker class and she also heads up the” New Baby” home visitation ministry.  In addition, Jacey helps in the Hospitality Department with various catering events.  Together, we lead a small group bible study every other Sunday evening in our home.

OUR HOME AND CITY
Our home is truly our dream home.  We designed and built it 2 ½ years ago.  It is a large traditional 2-story home on a full finished basement.  We have plenty of space for the children to run and play; we even gave them a playroom and a craft room.  We love to entertain and share our home with family and friends, so we added a built-in swimming pool and a brick fire pit.  Our home sits on 5 ½ acres, so we have plenty of yard to explore.  Our housing addition has only 5 homes, all of which have large yards, so we have the best of both worlds; neighbors and privacy!  We are in the suburbs of a mid-sized Midwest city, so we have all of the amenities that a city has to offer.  We are just minutes away from several parks, movie theaters, shopping malls, a top-rated Children’s Zoo, museums, a library and so much more.  Our school district is also top-rated.  The area that we live in is rapidly growing primarily because of the school system.  Due to the extreme growth, our elementary school is only 1 year old and our middle school is 5 years old.

OUR FAMILY
We were both raised in extremely tight-knit families.  Brad’s parents, John and Mary, have been married for 39 years and attend the same church as we do. Jacey’s parents, Larry & Shari, have been married for 40 years and are pastors of another local church.  Both sets of grandparents are very active in the children’s lives and both live within 15 minutes of our home. We see them often, usually 3-5 times a week.  Brad’s brother, Brock and his wife Nicole, also have two girls, Callie (9) and Kaitlyn (4).  They, also, attend the same church as us and live 10 minutes away, so we see them quite frequently.  Jacey’s two sisters, Tasha and Lindsay, are her best friends.  Tasha and Larry have 4 children and Lindsay and Kris have 3 girls.  Again, they live within 15 minutes of our home.  We actually look for reasons to get together; whether it is a beautiful day for a pool party, a nice night for a bon fire, or just a “family dinner.”  We LOVE our family and we enjoy just hanging out with each other.  God has truly blessed us.

WHAT HAS LED US TO ADOPTION:
We always knew that we wanted children and the Lord graciously gave us two amazing gifts.  They have brought tremendous joy to our hearts and love to our home.  In 2000, we both agreed that Brad would have a vasectomy.  For the past 2 years however, our hearts have desperately yearned for more children.   We have prayed for months as to which direction to go, and we 100% believe that adoption is what God has in store for us.   In our adoption process, we have opened ourselves up beyond just a Caucasian child.  Jacey’s sister, Lindsay, has 3 Hispanic-Caucasian bi-racial girls.  Also, Jacey’s cousin, has adopted 3 children of multi-ethnicity.  There is a lot of diversity in our family and we look forward to embracing even more.  We don’t believe that skin color or heritage determine a persons worth, but its their character and integrity that make them who they are.

We feel that we have so much to offer your child.   He/she will never have a lack of unconditional love, affection, attention and security.  We will fully support them emotionally, physically (lots of hugs), educationally (college too), and spiritually.   With Gods help, we will meet every possible need they will ever have.

We firmly believe that God already knows who our birth-mom and child is.  We earnestly pray that if you are her, then you will have complete peace in your heart upon selecting us.  We look forward to learning more about you and your hearts desires for your child.  You are continually in our thoughts and prayers.

Awaiting our Arrival,

Brad & Jacey
