"Stop! Struggling to Find the Right Answers to Your Questions About Adopting A Child or Baby"
It's usually best for all of the children involved to adopt a child who is younger than any biological children in your home.
Before adopting, learn as much as you can about reactive attachment disorder, so that, if you see signs of it, you can start in right away building a good attachment/trust bond with your child.
keep in mind how your kid and the kid your adopting will feel as they get older. get a kid you'll love just as much as your own son. they should be around the same age, but I recommend getting a younger kid, cause the older kid will feel proud. remember to treat them equally and think hard before you make this choice, cause you could ruin your son and the adoptive son's lives if you screw up. don't be overtly harsh, and don't LIE about his origins when he's older. just treat them equally, and you should be fine. best of luck to you.
Well now is probably an especially busy time with your son but on the other hand a good time as he hasn't gotton to fixed on only being the only one meaning he will adapt easily to change. I would be careful on what race you addopt as this may put strain on the whole family in the future. (Please don't get me wrong in saying that) I am a lover of all good, just a thought! Can't you have anymore children yourself?
so, where do you want to adopt..??
just tell your son.. he'lll have a brother or sister
my cousine's family adopt a child.. they are very happy with the child..
Good luck!!
